Why we're building this
I've spent most of my adult life working abroad — far from the country I grew up in, far from the family I love.
It started as a quiet thought one night: if something happened to me tomorrow, what would my family do?
They'd call. They'd worry. Eventually they'd need to find things — bank accounts in countries they've never been to, insurance policies whose numbers I keep in an app, passwords for services they've never heard of, the apartment lease, the savings account my mother once asked me about and I never answered properly. They'd dig for weeks. Maybe years. And they'd never find half of it.
That thought wouldn't leave me. Not because I was preparing to die — but because love, when stretched across an ocean, leaves a paper trail nobody back home can read.
So I built Heirloom — for my family, and yours. So that whatever ocean is between you and the people you love, the information they need finds them, gently, on the day they need it most. We're building this carefully, slowly, and with deep respect for the weight of what we're holding. We hope it helps.
