First 50 get Complete free, forever
A warm place for what comes after.
A gentle, encrypted place to record everything your loved ones will need to know — accounts, wishes, words you want them to hear. So they aren't left searching, on the hardest day.
Add things one at a time — bank by bank, policy by policy. Never face a wall of empty fields.
Your records are encrypted. Family unlock works through a password only you set.
Generate an access code and send it — or hand it — to someone you trust. When the time comes, they unlock everything in one place.
Ask "help me write to my daughter" — and the assistant opens the right place and drafts it for you.
Add what matters, at your pace. Skip what doesn't apply.
Set a passphrase, generate an access code, and send or hand it to someone you trust.
When your family needs it, they enter the code on the access page — and find everything.
One purchase. Update anytime. Always protected. Unlocks only when family needs it.
Everyone deserves a place to say what mattered. Always free.
The after-death survival kit. So family doesn't panic when the day comes.
Free for founding members
Your whole life recorded — including illness, family medical history, pets.
For founders, owners — so the business doesn't end with you.
No subscription, no recurring charges. Pay once, your records stay accessible — for you to update and for family to unlock — without further payment.
Yes. Everything is encrypted in your browser before it's uploaded, and only your passphrase can unlock it — our servers only ever store ciphertext they can't read. Not even we can see your content.
You can give up to 3 people their own access code (spouse, children, a trusted friend). Send them the access link + code by email, or copy it and hand it over / store it with your will. When the time comes, they go to the access page, enter your email and the code, and see everything you wanted them to know.
A lawyer's will handles legal inheritance — who gets what assets. Heirloom handles everything else: where the bank accounts are, what the passwords mean, where the safe deposit box key lives, and personal letters for your family. Most people need both, not one or the other.
There's a Free tier for letters and personal info — always free, forever. Three one-time paid tiers add more: Essentials ($59) for the after-death survival kit; Complete ($99) for everything including healthcare wishes, family medical history, pets; Complete + Business ($249) for founders who need a company succession plan. Pay once — no subscription, no renewal fees. The first 50 founding members receive Complete free, forever.
We're building right now. Join the waitlist below and you'll be the first to know when we open. We'll email you once when we launch, and once if anything important changes — no spam.
Your account stays exactly where it is. Family with the password can unlock and view your records anytime, indefinitely. We don't auto-delete or charge anyone after you're gone.
Whenever someone enters an access code, we don't unlock immediately. We email you first: "Someone tried to unlock with the [label] code — is this you? Approve or deny?" If you approve, they see your records. If you deny, the request is blocked and we suggest you rotate that code. If you don't respond within 72 hours (because you can't — incapacitated, deceased, unreachable), the unlock then proceeds automatically, so family can still reach what you left. (Coming soon: configurable waiting period and a "trusted contact" second notification.)
You'll never lose access to your data. We commit to: (1) you can export everything you've recorded, anytime, in a standard format you can read offline; (2) if Heirloom ever stops operating, we'll give 6 months notice + open-source the decryption tool so anyone (including you) can read your records without us; (3) the export includes a self-contained HTML viewer so your family can still use it even after we're gone. Your records are yours — not ours to hold hostage.
No spam. One email when we launch, and one if anything important changes.
